Healthy eating portion plates have been widely used in nutrition education and interventions to encourage the appropriate portion control of foods in adherence to dietary guidelines. However, their efficacy in improving dietary outcomes is unknown. This scoping review aims to provide evidence for the use of portion plates to increase vegetable intake and eating patterns aligned with the dietary guidelines in adults (including Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders and Non-Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander People), pregnant women, and children (aged 2-8 years).
