The purpose of this study is to investigate whether individuals use task enrichment depending on the cognitive load of the task. Participants are asked to solve computing tasks. The cognitive load of these tasks is manipulated by two different levels of difficulty. There is a high and a low cognitive load condition. First, participants are presented one demonstration task. Then we offer participants to listen to music while solving the tasks as a form of task enrichment. Our goal is to test whether people with high self-control are able to use this strategy more efficiently according to the cognitive load of the task.
