The increasing portion of renewable energy in today's energy system is, together with the accelerated energy need, the main factor to a growing need for flexibility. One form of flexibility that has been developed in recent years is vehicle to grid, V2G, which is a technology for using electric vehicles as energy storage for the power grid. This project aims to develop a businessmodel for the use of electric vehicles as a support service for the local electricity grid. In order to gain an understanding of V2G and the flexibility market, a theoretical framework was developed through a literature review and a literature study, which together consist of the parts; Sweden's energy system, frequency stability in energy systems, flexibility, V2G, commercial theory, previous projects and the existing market and market trends. To further analyze the market, five digital interviews were conducted with Ellevio, Uppsala Parkering, Umeå municipality, Nodesand Myrspoven. Through the theoretical framework and the interviews, a business model could then be developed. The work has resulted in a business model based on the Tongur and Engwall frameworks consisting of the three components value proposition, value creation and value capture, as well asthe Business Canvas Model. The proposed value is a flexibility service in the form of an energy storage through V2G technology. This can be offered to the local system operators, more specifically the system administrators for the distribution network, DSO. The value proposition is then created through key functions, which are electric car owners, land and property owners, aggregators and flexibility market operators. Finally, value is captured through monetary and informative flows that are centralized around bidding as well as secure and efficient informationsharing. After the business model was established, it was analyzed through the analysis tool PESTLE. In this way, a mapping of opportunities and challenges with the business model has been made. Conclusions that could be drawn from this analysis are that the market is currently still in a pilot stage, both technically and commercially. At present, it is therefore difficult to determine which business models are profitable. To do this, additional studies are required.
