HABITAT. — En Nouvelle-Calédonie, cette espèce croît sur les troncs en décomposition ou dans de l’humus à une altitude de 200 à 720 m. STATUT DE CONSERVATION. — Préoccupation mineure (LC), évaluée le 28.VI.2016 (https://endemia.nc/flore/fiche166). L’espèce est uniquement protégée en Province Nord. NOTE Des fleurs des récoltes complémentaires ont été ajoutées à chacun des spécimens (R.H. Compton 1409 et R.H. Compton 1609). Le lectotype correspond à la partie végétative et à l’inflorescence. Un dessin complète les spécimens.
