[Abstract] Stellate ganglion block was performed on a 54-year-old Japanese man who had been undergoing outpatient therapy for a chief complaint of pain in the right shoulder girdle. The patient developed dyspnea approximately 45 min after the procedure, but his life was saved by tracheal intubation and artificial respiratory management. Based on the clinical course, Quincke's edema was diagnosed. Patients undergoing SGB need to be instructed to immediately contact a medical institution if any abnormalities manifest.
