Myxoid retropharyngeal liposarcomas are exceedingly rare tumours with a tendency to local recurrence. We reported the first case of recurrent myxoid liposarcoma of the retropharyngeal space in a patient treated with resection and postoperative radiotherapy sessions. The patient underwent extended surgical resection and the result of PET-CT 1 year postoperatively revealed no recurrence or metastasis. A literature review completes this case report by providing prognostic factors and different lines of treatment.
