Papucera Gorochov, 2016 stat. nov. Scytocera (Papucera) Gorochov, 2016 Scytocera Griffini, 1908 partim Diagnosis. Prosternum smooth. Pronotum prolonged behind, in males nearly fully covering stridulatory area of tegmen when at rest. Micropterus, male tegmen with a short apical lobe behind stridulatory area; stridulatory file on underside of male left tegmen backward curved with a moderate number of rather large teeth. Male titillators separate with basal area narrow, apical area widened, at base of widened area often with a distinct projection. Apical area of pronotum in female markedly shorter than in male, leaving end of squamipterus tegmina free. Female subgenital plate provided with lateral projections from basal area; ovipositor moderately curved, with acute tip. The type species of the genus, P. smaragdifrons, is extensively described in Naskrecki & Rentz (2010). The genus was so far monotypic containing only the type species Scytocera smaragdifrons Naskrecki & Rentz (2010) for which Gorochov (2016) erected the subgenus Papucera. According to the original description, the sternum of the type species is flat and unarmed (Naskrecki & Rentz 2010). The collections in ZMB contained another similar, but so far undescribed species that belongs to the same genus based on morphological characters including the stridulatory file.
