Bu çalışmanın amacı Dr. Howard Gardner'ın Çoklu Zeka Teorisini esas alarak bireysel farklılıkların, diğer bir deyişle öğretmenler arasındaki zeka türü farklılıklarının İngilizce öğretimindeki rolü ve önemini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Bu çalışmada 6 bölüm vardır. 1. This study aims to find out the role and the significance of individual differences, in other words, the differences of intelligence profiles among teachers in English Teaching, which is based on The Theory of Multiple Intelligences proposed by Dr. Howard Gardner. The study has six chapters. The first chapter presents the problem, aim and scope, the method and the assumptions of the study. In chapter 2, the review of literature is presented including the definition of intelligence, the explanation of The Theory of Multiple Intelligences and the classification of intelligences. In chapter 3, the relation between The Theory of Multiple Intelligences and English Teaching and the effect of the differences of intelligence profiles among teachers on education are introduced. In chapter 4, the analysis of data collected from both the teachers and the students through the inventories is stated. Besides, this chapter states how the data is collected, analysed and interpreted in detail. Chapter 5 suggests sample integrated multiple intelligence activities that teachers can make use of in EFL classrooms by taking their dominant and weaker intelligence types into consideration and the classroom observations in the process of applying suggested activities are presented. Chapter 6, which is the conclusion part of this study, summaries the study and suggests the ways which aim to diminish the problems caused by the effects of the different intelligence profiles among teachers on English Teaching and to enrich the teaching styles of teachers to address all students. 183
