The article presents a case study of a 14-year old female pudu (Pudu puda) which has developed a uterine prolapse after having an unassisted parturition. It states that when the first prolapse was first seen, the uterine tissue looks undamaged and was cleaned with antiseptic solution and handled carefully during replacement. It says that the pudu died six days after parturition. It reveals that gross and histologic lesions associate the death of the animal to arcanobacterium pyogenes septicemia.
