The article presents a study on the diversity and relative occurrence of various sea turtle species at Baixada Santista in São Paulo, Brazil. Topics covered include the anthropic impacts suffered by the Baixada Santista coastal ecosystem, the lack of zoning laws for careful development, and the intense industrial and domestic effluents placed indiscriminately into estuaries and rivers. Also mentioned is the percentage of turtles with plastic in them.
