The article presents a case wherein a young hand-reared Japanese Macaque named Remon was introduced into a social group from the age of three-months old at the Granby Zoo in Quebec. It states that he was destabilized at the initial introduction but eventually became interested to the members of the group. During the third phase of introduction, the group was divided into two due to social conflicts and Remon was placed in Group 1 because of its stability and individuals' good temperament. After the introduction, it was observed that Remon already plays, grooms and is groomed, and understands and displays several social skills.
