The article focuses on what is safe and what is not vaccination for pregnant women. According to Dr. David Wallace of Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey, vaccinations for flu is safe for pregnant women, but for chickenpox and German measles are not because it can cause birth defects and other problems for the baby. It is noted that flu vaccination offers protection for the baby against the illness for at least six months after the baby is born.
