Attenuation of low LDL-C related mortality risk when step-wise adjustments were performed logistic regression models using restricted cubic spline. (A) A LDL-C threshold value of <75 mg/dL for increased mortality was observed when no adjustment was performed. (B) A LDL-C threshold value of <70 mg/dL for increased mortality was observed when pre-admission characteristics were adjusted. (C) A LDL-C threshold value of <65 mg/dL for increased mortality was observed when further adjusted for PCI-related variables. (D) In fully adjusted model, low LDL-C was not associated with increased risk for mortality.
