The article presents a study on the clinical pathology and management of concurrent infection of babesiosis and ehrlichiosis in dogs. Babesiosis and ehrlichiosis are cited as the major tick-borne diseases of dogs, adding that the distribution of the vector tick Rhipicephalus sanguineus contribute to their prevalence. Clinical manifestations in infected dogs include lethargy, fever and epistaxis. Combined parenteral diminazene aceturate and oral doxycycline is cited as an effective treatment.
