The article cites a effort to teach British students about social survey research. It could be difficult job to teach students about surveys. There has been an increasing trend among sociology students to use quantitative techniques rather than qualitative ones for their research. In Great Britain, survey and academic professions are separated from each other. The Office for National Statistics and other survey agencies are provided with large budgets and have a good number of staff to conduct surveys.
