The article presents a case study of a 38-year-old man who experiences fatigue and fever for six days and soreness in the left upper abdominal area for three days. The result of his chest radiograph is normal and his bronchoscopy test with bronchoalveolar lavage show fungal organisms within histiocytes consistent with Histoplasma species. He was cured with liposomal amphotericin B for one to two weeks for disseminated histoplasmosis and was recommended to take oral itraconazole for one year.
