The article discusses an analysis of health insurance claims data for approximately 49% of Wisconsin births to evaluate vaccination of pregnant women in Wisconsin. Topics discussed include the revised recommendations by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) for vaccination of pregnant women to include tetanus-diphtheria-accellular pertussis vaccine (Tdap) during every pregnancy optimally at 27-36 weeks of gestation to avoid pertussis among their newborns.
