The article presents a study that quantifies the spatial and seasonal variability of nutrient concentration in 901 square kilometer lowland catchment in Estonia. The study also aims to describe how landscape structure and land cover affect the spatio-temporal variation. A synoptic approach was used to map the concentration of dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN) and dissolved reactive phosphorus (DRP) in all stream orders. The relation between log-transferred in-stream concentrations and the share of agricultural land were explored using the linear regression. Results show that DIN concentrations are higher during spring and autumn seasons. The study also shows that no significant differences in the mean log-transformed DRP concentrations between the seasons were observed.
