The article presents the results of the study on the effects of the inhibition of diacylglycerol kinase α on X-linked lymphoproliferative disease (XLP-1) primary immunodeficiency associated with exuberant expansion of activated CD8 T Cells after Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. It states the restored diacylglycerol signaling at immune synpase and rescues restimulation-induced cell death (RICD). It mentions that DGKα prevents excessive CD8 T cell expansion.
