The article reports on the development of an antigen-capture blocking enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay or antigen-capture b-ELISA based on baculovirus recombinant antigen to differentiate Transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) from Porcine respiratory coronavirus (PRCoV) antibodies. Recombinant S protein-based ELISA is sensitive for TGEV and PRCoV antibodies. Results suggest that truncated recombinant S protein is an alternative to complete virus as antigen in ELISA assays.
