In this article the author discusses issues related to sourcing and marketing in Mexico. An examination of the profitability of doing business in Mexico under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) is presented. An overview of the situation in Mexico and the factors to consider when doing business in the country is offered. The article also discusses two important actions to be taken by textile and apparel businesses that are planning to do business in Mexico, which include the fact the Mexican consumers are very brand conscious.
