The article discusses risk factors for domestic minor sex trafficking among youth. Common risk factors are age, ethnicity, sexuality and housing status. One study found that 13 percent of online advertisements for sex workers reveal that the age of the worker below 21 years. It also suggests that younger age is linked to higher demand and higher prices are charged for younger girls which indicates the desirability of youth. Running and homelessness as risk factors are also discussed.
