The article presents a case study of a 18-year-old woman who was previously healthy presented to the hospital for evaluation of body aches and back pain, where hospital admission revealed tachycardia; physical examination revealed the patient was pale and fatigued; she appeared to be in pain, with observable facial grimacing and muscle spasms in the legs; and laboratory studies showed mild transaminitis, and stool was positive for Campylobacter antigen.
