The article presents the discussion on highly problematic reporting of election polls. Topics include telephone interviews, classical face-to-face interviews, and online surveys; established methods including model-based forecasts taking economic developments or expert knowledge into account; and recommending multiple types of visualizations and using the different focal points as an active element of communication.
