The article describes a study which examined the role of CCAAT displacement protein (CDP) as an osteoblastic coactivator of the vitamin D receptor (VDR). Vitamin D is important in the regulation of bone and calcium metabolism. Results of the study suggested that CDP acted as a novel differentiation stage-specific coactivator of the VDR in osteoblasts.
