The article discusses advancing the effectiveness of juvenile justice system involving female youth. Topics include both male and female youth were arrested in cases of assault, robbery, vandalism, and drug abuse violations; an analysis found four classes for female crisis treatment needs, involving substance abuse, antisocial peers, family conflict and trauma and mental health needs; and best practices include analysis of risk, evidence based services, and factors associated with reoffending.
