The article presents a study on the predictors of hepatitis C virus (HCV) ribonucleic acid (RNA) levels in drug users in Bronx, New York. A prospective study was conducted in 264 drug users with chronic HCV infection. The results of the study was discussed and concluded that the levels of HCV RNA in drug users with persistent infection increased over time and were associated with older age and HIV infection.
