The article explains the role of intersubjective perceptions in cross-cultural research. These perceptions are known as the shared perceptions of the psychological characteristics widely recognized in a culture. Cited is a proposed intersubjective approach to understanding the role of culture in human behavior and its implications for looking at the interaction between the individual, ecology and culture, the nature of cultural competence, management of multicultural identities, cultural change and measurement of culture.
