Abstract: We have measured elastic scattering and peripheral reaction channel cross sections for the 16,18O+58Ni systems at . The data were analyzed through extensive coupled-channel calculations. It was investigated the consistency of the present analysis with a previous one at sub-barrier energies. Experimental fusion cross sections for these systems are also compared with the corresponding predictions of the coupled-channel calculations. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
