A summary is presented of an article published online at http://dx.doi.org/10.1126/science.aau9564 studying the molecular mechanism by which Arabidopsis thaliana pollen tubes are able to outperform heterospecific pollen tubes which found a species-specific female peptide and their male receptor maintained reproductive isolation.
