The article presents a study which examines the role of hydrogen peroxide in promoting platelet hyperactivation and thrombosis during aging. The study uses analysis of variance (ANOVA), real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and collects blood sample to determine the influence of hydrogen peroxide in thrombotic and hyperactivity of platelet in aged mice. Results show that hydrogen peroxide promotes platelet hyperactivity and thrombotic events.
