A study published in the Archives of Dermatological Research investigated the barriers to using digital assistance for postoperative wound care among dermatologic surgery patients. The study found that patients with lower levels of education were less likely to accept assistance from smart devices for wound care. This may be due to lower health literacy among these patients. Privacy concerns and prior information theft were not significant barriers to accepting digital assistance. The study suggests that non-technological interventions may be necessary to optimize care for patients who are hesitant to use smart technology. [Extracted from the article]
