The solubility and diffusivity of NH3 in imidazolium based ionic liquids (ILs) have been measured at 283.15, 298.15, 323.15 and 348.15 K and at pressures up to 7 MPa using a gravimetric microbalance. Experimental vapor-liquid-equilibrium (VLE) data have been correlated using an activity coefficient model and the diffusion coefficients for NH3 in ILs have been calculated using a one-dimensional (1D) mass diffusion equation.
