An analysis of 190 nations revealed significant correlations between their religious composition and their internet diffusion rates. The study revealed a positive significant overall correlation between the percentage of Christians (in particular, Protestants) in a nation and internet diffusion. A significant negative correlation was found between the percentage of Muslims in nations and internet diffusion rates. The study discusses implications and calls upon future research to provide further analysis of the relationship between religion and internet diffusion. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
