The article presents research on the incident treatment patterns for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children. The association the U.S. National Committee for Quality Assurance Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set adherence measures, patient characteristics and provider type are evaluated. Research concludes the significance of quality measure refinement through follow-up care of children who discontinued medication treatment or those who did not received it.
