This article discusses a case of disseminated invasive aspergillosis in a 62-year-old man with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) who was being treated with ibrutinib. The patient initially experienced joint and muscle pain, which was attributed to a side effect of ibrutinib and treated with prednisolone. However, his symptoms worsened, and further imaging revealed lesions in his muscles and lungs. Biopsy results confirmed angio-invasive aspergillosis, and the patient was started on antifungal treatment. Despite the extensive nature of the infection, the patient responded well to treatment and experienced improvement in his symptoms. [Extracted from the article]
