Tellurium impregnated ordered macroporous carbon and free‐standing tellurium nanowire mat are prepared as cathode materials to construct a novel Li–Te battery. The Li–Te battery shows improved cyclability and rate capability as compared to Li–S and Li–Se batteries. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
