Fabry–Perot etalon is widely used for characterizing tunable diode laser wavelength response to injection current variation. For fast scanned and modulated tunable diode laser, characterising wavelength-to-time response with etalon can be a very tedious and time consuming task. The present report introduces a MATLAB-based graphical interface that enables performing a semi-automatic analysis of etalon data. A detailed practical guide of this application is presented in the present paper. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
