The article offers guidelines for prostate cancer (PCa) screening wherein PCa is the third leading cause of death in men in Canada. The authors state that PCa screening allows the detection of cancer at a point where it is curable and its initial screening should include digital rectal examination (DRE) and prostate-specific antigen (PSA). They state that the screening should be offered to all men 50 years of age with a 10-year life expectancy and should be offered at age 40 for high risks.
