In this article, the author presents the views of Alberto Giubilini, a philosopher from the University of Milan in Milan, Italy and Francesca Minerva, a bioethicist from Monash University who believe that fetuses and newborns are not persons and parents have rights to choose their pro-life position. According to Minerva and Giubilini, personhood of newborn should be determined after assessment of neurological development of newborn.
