The article focuses on superior mesenteric artery syndrome (SMAS), a condition characterized by the compression of the duodenum by the abdominal aorta and superior mesenteric artery. It presents a case study of a 30-year-old woman with symptoms of epigastric discomfort, nausea, vomiting and weight loss, diagnosed via abdominal contrast-enhanced CT, highlighting the importance of comprehensive diagnostic approaches and the efficacy of conservative management strategies in selected cases of SMAS.
