Highlights: [•] We generated and characterised a new set of monoclonal TH antibodies. [•] We developed a novel sandwich ELISA for detecting TH in cell culture and brain. [•] Showed excellent reproducibility and good linearity in complex brain tissue lysates. [•] Showed good correlation with TH Western blot and dopamine in Parkinson's disease models. [•] TH ELISA lysate is compatible with α-synuclein ELISA which could support multiplexing. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
