The article presents a study on the protective monoclonal antibody (mAb) that is generated to recognize the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) epitope on Ogawa and Inaba serotypes from Vibrio cholerae. The study utilized female mice and a standard to generate and investigate mAbs. The study showed that mAb 72.1 recognizes both the LP and mAb 72.1 with 11 peptide mimics were identified through phage display libraries and the peptides suggests that mAb 72.1 binds with peptides in a disulphide bond.
