The article discusses a study which was aimed to determine the prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MetSyn) risk factors in high school (HS) and college football players and to examine if the prevalence varied according to body fat percent. The study was conducted on 123 males from seven different high schools and 82 males from one university. The study found that the MetSyn criteria differed significantly across body fat percent.
