A 35-year-old patient presented with asymptomatic annular plaques on his penile shaft for over two years. Annular atrophic plaque was first described by Christianson and Mitchell in 1969.2 The lesions presented as annular plaques with atrophic or normal-looking skin in the centre. Annular atrophic plaque has previously only been reported on sun-exposed areas; sun-damage and chronic light exposure are considered possible causes.3 Thus, whether our case is annular atrophic plaque with atypical location is controversial.
