A novel access to deuterated and D3CO-substituted arenes has been developed using immobilized triazenes as precursors. The linker system and the deuterating cleavage methodology could be shown to be compatible with various functional groups and are therefore suitable for the synthesis of derivatives only hardly available viacomparable protocols.
