The article presents a study which developed an in vivo assay using the Apollo-NADP+ sensor and microfluidic devices to measures endogenous NADPH/NADP+ dynamics in the pancreatic B cells of live zebrafish embryos. Topics include monomer and tandem-dimer fluorescent proteins that can be resolved by anisotropy imaging in vivo, zebrafish care and use in microfluidic devices, and image preprocessing and anisotropy calculation.
