The article discusses a study which investigated the relationship between the selectivity of Marinopyrrole A to induce apoptosis in MCL1 high BCL2 low expressing myeloma cells and its ability to impair protein translation. It cites the dependency of Marinopyrrole A sensitivity on TP53 status. It also investigates the intrinsic apoptotic pathway in three selected multiple myeloma cell lines.
