The article discusses a study on the intraspecific genetic diversity and population structure in a pseudo-control region of the Araripe Manakin passeriform species of endangered birds. Genetic tools are applied in the study of endangered species viability to better identify the factors that influence their survival. The results of the use of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in amplifying the control region of the mitochondrial genome of the specimen investigated are mentioned.
