The article focuses on the development of a noninvasive method for in vivo measurement of CD8+ T cell biodistribution and kinetics in humans using dynamic positron emission tomography (PET) and kinetic modeling. The study utilized an 89Zr-labeled CD8-targeted minibody and total-body PET imaging in COVID-19 convalescent patients and healthy individuals and the results demonstrated higher tissue-to-blood ratios in bone marrow of COVID-19 convalescent patients compared to controls.
